When we nurse in public, I try to be fairly discreet but at the same time, for these past 20 months, I have never had a negative encounter when nursing him. My biggest issue is probably getting him to sit still. Also, he still nurses just as frequently as he did as an infant. It isn't always "convenient", but I use the periodic nursing breaks throughout the day as a way to read a few more paragraphs in my book! I have been nursing my son for 20+ months now. Dr. Sears has a lot of tips on establishing routines so babies get used to a pattern of the day. However during infancy the baby changes so much, it's hard to keep up!
